Find out what it is like to see the world through the eyes of a child with autism
This touching 32 page story is about a little boy who has autism.
Cooper has a brilliant brain but sees the world differently.
As a teacher, his mum Marlo was keen to explain how
people like Cooper experience the world around them.
In sharing his story, she gives children a rare opportunity
to look at the world through the eyes of autism, and
better understand their classmates and friends who are
on the spectrum.

Marlo,

This note is to say thank you. Thank you so much for the beautiful gift that is your book. After finally feeling the time was right to share Callum's diagnosis with him last year, he wasn't really open to much discussion afterwards. For the first week he was happy to talk about it and shared the news with his class, but after that he just wasn't interested and seemed a bit embarrassed by it all. That was until your book came along. After bringing the book home, he wanted me to read it to him every night for over a month, and we still read it at least once a week. Since then, he has been more open about his diagnosis, and has even told a few of his friends the reason he does some things is "because I have autism!". I'm sure your description of those with autism having a "brilliant brain" and the way you explain how their brain works has helped with this, making it less daunting. He also likes to let me know when he's doing anything similar to Cooper, such as "thinking, thinking, thinking, thinking" when I've asked him a question. And I'm sure he also gets a kick out of the fact that he knows everyone in the book :)

I just wish I had your book when I shared the diagnosis with him, it would have made the discussion so much easier....

So thanks again Marlo, I can't recommend your book highly enough.

Love and thanks,
Cherie xxoo
Hi Marlo,

I finally got to read your book yesterday, I had tears in reading of the journey you have been on and also at your bravery and honour to create a book to give an insight of your special boy. My children have all loved reading your book too. It brings up lots of questions and conversations. They all know someone through school or siblings of friends who have autism. Well done again.

Regards Sarah
